A truly exceptional set of Norwegian Mid-Century Modern dining chairs by Gustav Bahus. The Model 138 was designed and produced by one of Norway's premier manufacturers in the mid 1960's. Featuring an elegant solid teak frame and an upholstered seat and backrest. This creates both an incredibly beautiful and comfortable chair. A truly iconic, Scandinavian minimalist design with gray Maharam upholstery grade fabric. The solid teak frames have a deep, dark, beautiful colour and incredible grain pattern. While the mid-rise, curved, upholstered, backrest provides ample comfort and support. The juxtaposition of the dark frames and light upholstery adds sophistication. These are chairs to savour a great meal with friends. They would also be perfect as a desk chairs, bringing them to the table when needed. Stamped. Additional of note:

Disassembly, new dowels inserted followed by gluing/ clamping.
Professional wood restoration however the original finish remains.
